The current changes in the back end are hopefully seamless. The one database used previously has been separated so this site now has its own. This will improve response time because the other database is cumbersome and contains a lot of useless data.
Some of the changes that have been implemented are the user detail pages. These contain the usual stuff other sites do with some differences. I’ve linked the map data with the user data so if a user has created a map that exists in the database it’ll show up on the user detail page. Also on the detail page there is a list of users admin privileges if they have them so others know who to go for help. If you’re interested in administrating portions of this site let me know.
Because of the database migration the back end has had an overhaul also. Probably wont be visible to others but in my experience a rich back end means very useful data to the users of the site.
As with any changes there may be a few loose ends lying around if you see anything odd, make a note in the forums.
Links section is now ordered by the ammount the link is used. The more clicks on a link the higher it is on the list.
